P2R lists properties within four categories – Independent Living, Assisted Living, Nursing Homes, and Palliative Care. Definitions can be found by clicking on the file box below that you are interested in. The level of care offered can vary from properties that specialize in one category to those which provide up to all four.
Be prepared to spend some or a lot of time finding the right place for you. Most homes will not provide a price over the phone. They expect that you will reserve a time for a tour and a discussion to follow.
Very little to no services provided to the retiree(s). Optional extras can be added to the contract such as weekly housekeeping or ‘Meals on Wheels’.
Imagine independent living with more dependence and you will be close. Housekeeping, meal service, daily wellness checks. . .
This level of care is very close to what a hospital would provide only on a long-term basis.
Memory Care should be staffed with medical professionals trained in dealing with people who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease, dementia and related disorders.
